Bible Explained and Alpha are two great courses that help us know more about Christ. As a Church we are stepping out in faith and changing our Sunday nights to focus by facitliling small groups. Let me encourage us to invite someone to Alpha who is enquiring about the Christian faith it is a excellent opportunity to know more about Christ. Bible Explained helps us in our understanding of how the Bible fits together. We are looking forward to seeing God moved in the next couple of weeks.
Blessings,
Sam
Hi Church,
We’ve just returned from Church Camp 09 which was held at the picturesque Collorary Centre on the Northern Beaches. What a great time we had where we were able to do heaps of great activities namely high Ropes, the Leap of Faith and the flying fox. What a sight it was and particularly a challenge to do these activities both physically and mentally. An honourable mention goes to Ryan who was outstanding on the Leap of Faith!
Another highlight would have to be The Night concert we had on the Saturday night, this laidback evening involved some skits that I’m sure well be seeing repeated at other church activities as well as a game involving lies! Luckily we weren’t too good at that one.
The food was great and fellowship was even greater as we were able to hang out together going to the beach, coffee shops and the odd game. On the Sunday morning we came together for a great time of Worship, and what better way than to do it than overlooking God's creation, we had an awesome view of the east coast right behind the pulpit!
Please pray with me that Good fruit will come from this years Church camp.
Blessings,
Ps Sam.
Hi Church,
We’ve just had an amazing weekend, 28th- 31st August, with Darren McMahon and JD. They ran seminars for the whole Year 8 grade at Umina Campus and the students loved it. JD has a powerful testimony that comes through in his RnB songs. On the Thursday night Darren spoke on the subject of Mission and Community Action he challenged us with a great word that; God loves all people and that He wants us to take His message to a hurting world. What people has Christ placed in our path that he wants us to tell of his Good News? At our Friday night YouthIgnite service we had lots of young people respond to Christ and even more at the Sunday night service. 17 people made a step to follow Christ and make Him their Saviour and Lord! Some of these responses were recommitments and some were for the very first time. Let’s pray that the seed sown would multiply in people's heart. Let's keep believing for God to continue to touch and change people's lives here on the Peninsular.
Thanks to all those who helped make it a great weekend!!!
God Bless,
Sam.
